The games included are: -Ryne Sandberg: June 23, 1984-5 for 6, 2 HR, 7 RBI -Rick Sutcliffe: 1984 NLCS game 1-no ER allowed, one HR hit -Andre Dawson: Aug. 1, 1987-3 for 4, 3 HR, 5 RBI -Mark Grace: 1989 NLCS game 2-3 for 4, 4 RBI -Kerry Wood: May 6, 1998-20 strikeouts -Sammy Sosa: September 13, 1998-61st and 62nd home runs -Greg Maddux: Aug. 7, 2004-300th career win -Derrek Lee: June 1, 2005-5 for 5, 1 HR, 4 RBI The set provides a good mix of games for Cubs fans (and if Wrigley was smart, they'd sell the set in the park), starting with Hall of Famer Sandberg's 7 RBI game against the rival St. Louis Cardinals, which saw the cubs down 7-1 after two innings, only to manage a comeback in the 11th inning, winning the game 12-11. Andre Dawson is another example of a classic Cubs player. In 21 seasons, Dawson recorded an amazing 2,774 hits and was so eager to join the Cubs that he let General Manager Dallas Green determine his salary. It's a surprise that Dawson hasn't gotten inducted into the Hall of Fame yet (Sandberg tried to push for Dawson in his Hall of Fame speech.) As for newer highlights, one disc offers Kerry Wood's 20 strikeout game from 1998 versus the Astros. The 20-year-old Wood's 20 strikeouts tied a Major League record set by Roger Clemens.

"No Banks? Santo? Williams? Jenkins? How about Hartnett?" 2009-04-24
By Ms. Patricia J. Adams (California)
I was very interested in this DVD until I discovered, much to my dismay, that there were no games from the '69 team - nor '45! No wonder the GREAT Ron Santo has been kept out of the HOF! These young pup sportswriters never SAW him play! We need a decent DVD with the earlier years... with Billy Williams, Ron Santo and Randy Hundley, Fergie Jenkins and Jim Hickman, Gabby Hartnett's "Homer in the Gloamin'" and Grover Alexander, Jimmy Foxx and Rogers Hornsby, and never, never forget "Kessinger to Beckert to Banks!!! Kenny Holtzman's no-hitter? Or Milt Pappas' no-hitter? Ernie's 500 HR? There is soooo much missing here!

"A Must have for Cubs fans and non Cubs fans Alike" 2009-03-05
By Paws McGee (Connecticut)
This is a must have for any Cubs fan. In fact if you are baseball fan this set is worth adding to the collection. The June 1984 is my personal favorite. I can still remember seeing that game live on NBC. I love putting this game in on a frigid winter night and reliving the greatness of that summer afternoon. Also Kerry Wood's 20 strike games is something to behold. The balance of the set is great too. Worth the purchase.

"Cubbies DVD hits home run" 2009-01-22
By A. Hunter (Silver Spring, MD USA)
My husband LOVED this gift and has already watched several of the games with his buddies. The cheers from the Man Cave seem to reflect it was a good buy. When I asked him what he would rate the DVD set on a scale from one to five he said, "Six, and I would have given it a seven had it had their World Series."

 "Reliving some positive Cubness" 2008-10-26
By reader of good things
Fun games all. Wonderful to see some of the obscure old players, and old broadcast teams (Costas doing the June 23, 1984 "Sandberg game" was a hoot). Must have for true Cub fans. Cardinals or Astros fans should probbly steer clear for all of our good.

 "Cubs CLassics" 2008-05-17
By D. jean (bridgwater, ma)
Overall this was a classic set released by MLB one I can't criticize them much on. Wonderful hearing Harry Carey doing a game on this. As well as the 1984 game of the week Cardinals game which was the best game on the set. The only thing I wish was they included the 1998 Wild Card playoff game with San Francisco.
