A real workout game! And I mean it..Real Workout!
Its exactly like having a personal trainer with you at home. The exercises are challenging and extremely useful. When I do core exercises in My Fitness Coach, my abs get sore the following day. That's how effective this game is.
Its not all flashy like Wii Fit. It doesn't come with a fancy Wii Board. It doesn't try to measure your movements. However it is way more effective than Wii Fit if you train seriously and follow the trainer's instructions carefully.
Its like those training DVDs, however its biggest advantage is that the exercises program change everytime you train. The intensity of the exercises also change depending on your mood and energetic level, which you indicate before the session starts. Exercising DVDs on the other hand come with specific exercises that are fixed and cannot be altered.
Another big advantage is that you can include in your exercises a stepper, hand weights, stability ball, and heart monitor, which will certainly make the session more intense and useful.
My Fitness Coach is the most serious and hardcore exercising game I found so far in Wii. I believe the results are guaranteed if you use it to train seriously.

I have been using My Fitness Coach for about two months. This product delivers. This is as close to having a personal trainer in the room with you as it gets. It is never boring, changes routines daily, and progresses with you. It utilizes equipment I already own that was sitting collecting dust. Nothing fancy, just the stability ball, weights and a step. If you don't have a step you probably have the balance board so you can use that. You can order the everlast risers to add height to your balance board.

The thing I like best about this program is you set the pace from the very beginning, the programs has you do exercises right at the start to see where you're at fitness wise. Throughout the workout you are asked if it worked you too hard, good pace, or not hard enough. The program is great for beginners; you just have to be honest at the beginning with what you are capable of doing.

This is by far my favorite fitness game. I used it back when it was "yourself fitness" for the PS2, and the Wii version is better. It plays like a customizable workout video, and it lets you track weight and measurements over time. If you don't like getting up and down or have a very tiny space to work in, it might be a bit tricky because it has you doing a LOT of moving around and really hits every type of muscle. But it's a lot of fun and works for everything from a short easy 15 minutes up to a butt-kicking hour of rough cardio and weights. I always select the fitness ball and free weights, and the game does an excellent job of integrating them. The only thing I don't like is having to unlock options, but that's what you get when they unsuccessfully try to add game elements. Oh, and the trainer is always positive - no correction or negative feedback.

I was disappointed in this product. First off, if you are a beginner like me, many of the exercises may be too hard for you, and unlike a DVD, they offer no modifications. It's not low-impact, and starts right off with jumping jacks. During the setup, you do use the Wii device to input your weight & measurements and choose a goal. But after that, for the actual training portion, there is really no interaction with the Wii - no reason for it to be a Wii program at all. In my opinion it is not as good as a regular workout DVD. It is much easier to pause a DVD, or replay a segment, than it is on the Wii. And a workout DVD often has 5-6 people, all doing various levels of the same exercises. There are several different environments you can choose to "workout" in, but so what? Every other workout DVD is set in Hawaii or on a beautiful beach somewhere. If you are a beginner or want a low-impact workout - this product is not for you. Save your money - or use it to buy several exercise DVDs.
